Five Elements
The core of Five Element Acupuncture is that the mind, body and spirit are made up of five elements found in nature: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
We have all five elements within us and when they are in balance and harmony, we experience the enhanced joy of being alive, feeling ourselves again and improved physical/or emotional symptoms so we can thrive in life.
Wood | Spring
The Wood element in Five Element Acupuncture represents growth, flexibility, and vision. Like a tree, it embodies both stability and expansion, guiding us through life's transitions with purpose and resilience.
When the Wood element is in balance, we feel confident, driven, and adaptable, with a clear sense of direction. Imbalances in Wood can manifest as frustration, anger, or feeling stuck.
Through Five Element Acupuncture, we restore harmony to the Wood element, supporting personal growth and helping you move forward with clarity and strength.
Fire | Summer
The Fire element represents warmth, joy, and connection. It governs our ability to love, communicate, and experience happiness.
When the Fire element is balanced, we feel vibrant, passionate, and connected to others. Imbalances can show up as anxiety, restlessness, or lack of joy.
In Five Element Acupuncture, balancing the Fire element helps restore emotional warmth, ignite passion, and cultivate meaningful relationships.
Earth | Late Summer
The Earth element symbolises nourishment, stability, and grounding. It governs our sense of support and connection to others, as well as our ability to give and receive care.
When in balance, the Earth element fosters compassion, security, and a feeling of being centered. Imbalances may manifest as worry, overthinking, or feeling unsupported.
In Five Element Acupuncture, restoring balance to the Earth element promotes inner stability, nurturing, and a deep sense of well-being.
Metal | Autumn
The Metal element embodies clarity, structure, and the ability to let go. It governs our sense of value and connection to the spiritual and material aspects of life.
When balanced, Metal brings a sense of purpose, self-worth, and an appreciation for life’s beauty. Imbalances can lead to feelings of grief, detachment, or rigid thinking.
In Five Element Acupuncture, harmonizing the Metal element fosters acceptance, clarity, and a renewed sense of inner strength.
Water | Winter
The Water element represents wisdom, flow, and resilience. It governs our ability to adapt, reflect, and tap into inner strength.
When balanced, Water brings calm, insight, and the courage to move through challenges. Imbalances in the Water element can manifest as fear, stagnation, or a lack of direction.
In Five Element Acupuncture, restoring balance to the Water element enhances your ability to flow with life’s changes, cultivating peace, flexibility, and perseverance.
